Protecting your hair color from sun exposure, chlorine and salt water can be challenging this time of year, especially with many of our clients spending more time outside by the pool or at the beach. Sun protection products have come a long way and many are formulated to help create a protective barrier against harmful UV rays, water, and more. Not only do they help repel salt and chlorine (which can fade hair color), some of the more natural alternatives, such as coconut oil, both hydrate and protect the hair, as oil and water do not mix. However, simply applying coconut oil from a health food or grocery store can be very heavy and is difficult to distribute evenly through the hair.

One of my favorite products that I love to use on myself is L’Huile De Leonor Greyl. Designed specifically for the hair and skin, it’s light weight and can be washed out easily. I also like to use it on my elbows and knees when they feel dry. Clients always comment on how beautiful the fragrance is, often thinking that I’m wearing a light perfume.

After many client requests, we’ve added a full travel size section to our beauty store. Make sure to stock up on your favorite products before your next trip!
