Knowing how to properly remove your makeup is just as important as how to apply it. Since oil breaks down oil, most cleansers only remove dirt, not cosmetics. The result is clogged pores. Proper removal of cosmetics helps you maintain clean and beautiful skin. Even the soil in a garden has to be prepped for proper weed removal. The same is true for the removal of impurities in your skin.

Proper makeup removal should be done in two steps: First, use a makeup remover or cleansing oil to emulsify the makeup. Then use your foaming wash or cleansing milk to pick up any remaining residue.

I love using PhytoBasix Dermal Detox PreCleanse by Sunshine Botanicals for makeup removal and
Gel Nottoyant by Yon-Ka as my foaming cleanser.
