*This class is being offered for the first time at our academy*
Many clients want the root lift they get from foils but also love the sun-kissed hand-painted panels of light that can best be achieved with balayage. In this class, you will learn to choose the technique that is best for a client, combine them to achieve certain effects, and seamlessly transition clients from foils to balayage. You will also gain a better understanding of how to appropriately price your color services, whether taking new balayage clients or transitioning existing ones from foils.
Eva, with the help of our top educators, will work on two live models simultaneously during the demo portion of the class, to showcase these techniques that are critically important for any colorist to be proficient with. In addition to the above and an overview of what Eva refers to as "Blonde Theory," you will learn how to:
- Lift the hair several levels in one visit without causing damage
- Control gold to keep hair from going brassy
- Achieve bright and clear highlights without the use of foils
- Learn Eva's proprietary hand-painting, placement, and processing techniques
The morning will begin with a presentation on balayage and color theory, followed by Eva’s demonstration, as she takes you through the nuances of this specialized art form. After a catered lunch, you will have the opportunity to practice this technique on mannequin heads while being supervised by Eva and her team of educators, to ensure that you receive plenty of personalized attention. So that everyone can get the most out of this session, class sizes will be kept fairly small, therefore space is limited.
