In the business of hair color, time is our enemy - we just don't seem to have enough of it! In this class you will learn how to maximize your results when working within limited time parameters, especially when faced with fixing color mistakes - whether caused by you or by another colorist. It will help you to understand basic balayage color balancing with strategic application of highlights, lowlights and mid-lights, and how to use glosses and toners to quickly fix mini-disasters. You will also hone your knowledge of color and blonding theories, and see how a common sense approach to color correction is usually your best bet, as often the simplest solutions are the most effective.

Eva, with the help of our top educators, will work on two live models simultaneously during the demo portion of the class, to showcase these techniques that are critically important for any colorist to be proficient with. You will also learn how to:

  • Lift the hair several levels in one visit without causing damage

  • Control gold to keep hair from going brassy

  • Achieve bright and clear highlights without the use of foils

  • Highlight or richen already damaged hair without breaking it, and much more!

The morning will begin with a presentation on balayage and color theory, followed by Eva’s demonstration on live models, as she takes you through the nuances of this specialized art form. After a catered lunch, you will have the opportunity to practice this technique on mannequin heads while being supervised by Eva and her team of educators, to ensure that you receive plenty of personalized attention. So that everyone can get the most out of this session, class sizes will be kept fairly small, therefore space is limited. Please note that videotaping of this class is not permitted.
